Make This Leap Year Day Count: 5 Ideas To Leap You Into Your Day!

1. Women, tradition says it’s your prerogative to propose to a man today. Maybe this is the day to get that guy who’s been dragging his feet to commit….or maybe give that one some more thought, eh?

2. Pull a Ferris Bueller and play hooky from work ~ it’s not a real work day anyway, why should you be there?

3. Make it a do-over day. Choose a day from this past year that you didn’t like and do it over with better results this time. Think along the lines of the movie Groundhog Day.

4. Take the day literally and cross an item off of your bucket list ~ like skydiving and leap out of a plane!

5. And finally, if you are a Leapling (a Leap Year Baby) Happy Birthday and CELEBRATE LARGE! It only comes around once every four years, you deserve to go wild…and lucky you, that makes you 75% younger than the rest of us.

My Inspirational Muses

Santa Barbara Mission

I have been perusing through the photography that all of you have posted today ~ and at the risk of putting myself out there as a star-struck dork, and let’s face it, it wouldn’t be the first time ~ I have to say, I am amazed at all the talent that abounds on this site. Kudos to all of you!

I am referring to everyone because each of you has a unique vision and talent, and I take something away from everything I see. And can I just say, that for those of you who are posting your iPhone images ~ I bow to you! Some of those images are amazing and it blows me away that an iPhone has the capability to produce photos like that and that is a testament to you, the photographer.

So thank you for being my inspirational muses and encouraging me to try to do better!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Indulge

**Silly Post Warning** ~ no pretty picture here but when I saw this week’s Photo Challenge, which I always like to participate in, this is what I thought of when I saw the word was “indulge”. I very rarely ever get to lie around and do nothing so this is my idea of indulgence!

Final Random Thoughts on Utah

Happy Friday! Are you all ready for the weekend? Today, I thought I’d wrap up my Utah series with some of the random images I took while we were on the road between locations.

These images are from the Kanab area, there is a section called “Little Hollywood” because they have filmed so many movies here. These are some of the remnants left behind.

We went through a town called Virgin, Utah heading back from Zion to St. George. My husband spotted a pawn store he wanted to visit so as he browsed inside the store, I took the opportunity to shoot some of the fun images at this location.

And this little beauty was on the side of the road near the Zion Park entrance and she/he was more than willing to pose for me.

Well, it’s a stunning day here in Northern California so I may try to venture out locally and see what new images I can muster up! Make it a great day!

Snow Canyon and The Surrounding St. George Area

As much as the purpose of my trip to Utah was to see Zion National Park, I was really amazed at how beautiful the St. George area was as well. It really offered a lot of the same scenery as Zion, only on a smaller scale.

So here are some photos from Snow Canyon and the surrounding St. George area. Click on the first photo for a slide show. Enjoy!
