The City of Canals

Venice, Italy ~ the City of Canals, gondolas, beautiful bridges, incredible architecture, great food, Murano glass ~ what’s not to love about this floating city?

These images are from a European trip taken quite awhile ago, but I’m yearning to go back so I thought I would dredge them up so I can visualize myself there again. 🙂

The next picture was taken while touring the canals in a gondola.

Since I discovered Picasa, I thought I’d play with the different processing techniques, the one I used for these photos is Cross Process. I liked the warm, aged, dreamy look it gave them….since in my book Venice is the City of Romance….Until we meet again Venice…

  1. The buildings are so colorful and hold so much character. No wonder you want to go back. Nice share. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you that your return trip will be sooner, rather than later. 🙂
