Great idea for a simple yet beautiful post, focusing on a single color (my favorite color at that!). The door in the first shot is incredible. It looks like it has so many secrets behind it.
You think like I do, I did a “door” post and made a similar reference. I like doing a “series” post like this and I find that they are some of my most popular posts.
What a fantastic idea to do a set of shots around a color. But to me it’s interesting that the blue in the Vegas shot is on a metal sign rather than a more tactile, natural wood. I’ve convinced myself that it means something but I’m not sure what.
Too bad the blue wasn’t on a showgirl’s costume. That really would have caught my eye! Did I say I liked your photos? I LOVE your photos! I want to go to Taos, now. Though Santa Barbara is closer
Oh, I love it, Susan. Your Venice door is NOT straight! Wahoo! Now, I know it’s okay that my poor photos are never straight. These are absolutely wonderful photographs. The color and textures are so appealing. Santa Fe, NM, has the kind of light that photographers and artists long for, I know, as well as Taos. And, that wonderful building construction. I really enjoyed this blue series. 🙂
LOVE!
Thank you!
I just love the first picture! Nice work! I did miss this door on my visit to Venice! 😉
I would love to go back just to get more door shots like that. 🙂
really love pic #4 (las vegas). the tiffany blue works perfectly! very nice!
Thanks, the Neon Boneyard was a blast.
DOORS usually make an excellent photography subject, I really like your photography!
Thank you so much!
I love that top photo of the door – gorgeous!
Thank you ~ I love it to, actually framed it and have it hanging in my house.
beautiful photos, LOVE the first photo of the door 🙂
Thank you, Leah.
Love that color and I didn’t know the name until now. Wonderful photos:-)
That color is also referred to as Robin’s Egg Blue.

Definitely going to stalk through your archives till I find that one! 🙂

Thanks!
Wow, gorgeous! A lovely colour expressed in so many different ways.
Thanks, when I noticed I had several photos in that color I decided to do it.
I love it. The set is perfect. Bravo.

Haha…I’m not that deep! 🙂 …although, I would be lying if I didn’t say that it crossed my mind that it was a different material.

Wooow! The first one is stunning! 😀
Thank you ~ that seems to be the popular choice! 🙂
That first one is simply stunning! I like the second one as well. Great job!
And while there are many gorgeous shades of blue, none are quite the same as Tiffany blue.
Thank you, Nicole ~ appreciate you stopping by.
Very nice collection of photos Susan!

Absolutely beautiful! The texture along with the color is wonderful!

What a beautiful group of “blue” photos. I love how you processed them and gave them a dreamy feeling.
Thank you! I love Picasa for super simple processing.
