The Native American Way

Taos, New Mexico

I am not of Native American heritage but I have always wished that I could claim I was. I suppose it’s because I find traditional Native American’s to be such peaceful, wise, self-reflective and respectful people. True Native American people just seem to “get” the meaning of life. They live by simple philosophies and I think that the Anasazi Prayer above says it all.

  1. My wife has always been interested in Native American culture. Just recently she bought a Native American flute for me, thinking that, since I played saxophone in junior high and high school, the talent would easily transfer over. It does not!

  2. I absolutely adore this!! I’m 1/16th (not much I know) Cherokee, but I’m still proud of it. I’ve always wanted to do a shoot to portray what the Cherokee mean to me, but it’s hard! Haha!
