  1. I expected the door to be opened slightly after the quote! My mother had our Victorian in Illinois painted sky blue with a red door. That was in the 1970s when that kind of thing was very much frowned on. Neighbors sent painting contractors by periodically to see if we would change our minds. Not my mom!
